Buying tickets
We want you to have the best possible day with us so below is some key information you may need to know -
- Pre-booking tickets online in advance is essential.
- Day Tickets are valid for a single day and are date specific.
- Please note, we are only accepting debit card/credit card/smartphone payments on site, including at our animal feeding experiences, catering areas and shops.
- Anyone able to provide proof of a disability is entitled to bring a carer free of charge, simply select your Carer Ticket on this page. 2 to 1 care can also be booked in this way - please just bring evidence confirming this requirement with you on your visit.
- If you’re a Pass Holder you must pre-book tickets to visit the park during peak times. More information here
- You can pre-book specially priced, Pass Holder tickets for 2025 restricted dates here.
- Some activities and events may incur additional charges.
- Self-guided tours of the ground floor of Longleat House are included in your ticket, subject to availability. Additional guided tours are available and can be booked separately when you book your ticket. From time to time, we may need to temporarily close the House and pause tours. We’ll always try to give you the most notice we can when this is the case.
- You will have the opportunity to book a guided House Tour, for an additional charge, as part of your ticket booking process. This will allow you to explore more of the house, as well as having an expert guide to enhance your experience. Guided House Tours can also be booked on the day at Guest Services in the Main Square (subject to availability.) Guided House Tours last approximately 1 hour.
- Please note that, smoking or vaping are not permitted on site, except in the designated areas at the African Village and adjacent to The Chameleon Tree Coffee House.

- Access to Longleat House for visitors with limited mobility and for wheelchair users is via the rear of Longleat House.
- On the advice of the fire service, a maximum of four wheelchairs can be accommodated in the House at a time. This means each Guided Tour may include only one wheelchair. To reserve this space, please contact Guest Services with your ticket booking reference.
- We are unable to accept pushchairs in Longleat House for conservation reasons. A pushchair park is available at the front of Longleat House.
- Backpack-style baby carriers are not permitted in Longleat House, hip-seats can be provided on request although, due to its length, the tour may not be appropriate for babies and very young children.
- No large bags or stiletto heels are permitted.
- You can book Safari Bus Tickets online or at Guest Services in the Main Square. Subject to availability. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are £9.95 per person (3+ years).
- Motorbikes and cars with soft tops, vinyl sunroofs or soft top trailers are not allowed in the Drive Through Safari.
- The tour usually lasts around 2 hours, but can last up to 3 hours depending on how busy the Safari Park is.
- Seats are not allocated, head to the bus stop with good time to get to the front of the queue.
- Boarding starts 15 minutes prior to your tour time.

- Tesco vouchers may only be used towards Day Tickets and not against other items such as experiences or Guide Books.
- Clubcard vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer, scheme or promotion and cannot be exchanged in whole or part for cash.
- No change will be given if the value of the vouchers is greater than the cost of the ticket(s). However, any shortfall can be paid by credit/debit card.
VIP Experiences
Our VIP tours and Animal Experiences are a once in a lifetime opportunity for those aged 8 years and above and are designed to give you the best behind-the-scenes access, and interaction with our residents.
Ideal as an unforgettable birthday gift, a treat for yourself or an activity for a special group get-together! For an extra special treat, why not add an exclusive VIP goody bag to collect on the day.

Regrettably, some people will be unable to take part in some experiences including individuals with relevant phobias, known allergies, pregnant women and those who are immunocompromised. While every effort is made to accommodate people with disabilities, wheelchair access is not always available due to heritage elements of the site or the terrain in which the experience takes place and some of our animal experiences require some physical mobility to ensure the safety for all who are participating.
Be advised that most of our experiences involve a certain level of physical activity.
If you wish to book an experience and you or the person you care for has accessibility needs, please contact us first so we can ensure the best fit to meet your needs. Where an experience is possible, an essential companion accredited via an Access Card is welcome to attend for support but will not take part in the experience. If an essential companion would like to take part, a ticket must be purchased.
Please check your booking confirmation for your meeting place.
Children up to, and including, the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult who also has a VIP voucher.
Your VIP Experience Voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and your experience must be taken within this period. Please note some of our experiences are in high demand.
Availability for our experiences is limited; please allow at least 12 weeks’ notice when booking your day. In some instances, this may be longer.
In the event that we are unable to accommodate your experience within your validity period, alternative options will be given
Once your experience has been booked, it cannot be rescheduled unless under exceptional circumstances and this is at Longleat’s discretion
Some of our experiences take place early in the morning; please ensure you can reach us at least 15 minutes in advance of your booking
Each experience has an age limit for a reason, please adhere to this
If you have any specific medical needs or an allergy, please contact us prior to booking. Be advised that most of our experiences involve a certain level of physical activity.
We have different meeting points for our Drive-Through and Walking Safari experiences. Please check your booking confirmation email for details of which meeting place you should report to.
- Your truck may be shared with other VIP guests. Maximum six people per truck.
- Please allow two hours for this experience.
- If you have children aged under eight in your party, you must book an exclusive truck.
- If you have limited mobility or require the use of steps for access into the truck, please contact the team before making your booking.

The Festival of Light
- The Festival of Light has a limited number of tickets available. Pre-booking tickets online in advance is essential.
- Tickets are valid for a single day and are date specific.
- Non-safari day tickets include The Festival of Light’s stunning lantern scenes and festive fun, plus all Longleat attractions excluding the Drive-Through Safari.
- Twilight tickets give access to The Festival of Light's stunning lantern scenes and festive attraction with entry from 4pm.
- Festive House Tours are not included with your ticket. If there is availability, these will be offered as part of your purchase journey.
- Tickets give you access to the Park and The Festival of Light until 7.30pm.
- The lanterns are switched on at around 4pm each day and are outside so please wrap up warm.
- Please note, select Main Square attractions, such as the Lorikeet Aviary, Boat Safari, Adventure Castle and The Hedge Maze, will close before the Park does, according to light levels, from 3.30pm according to light levels. These attractions are not open in the dark.
- Animal Adventure will close at 4pm according to light levels.
- Book Safari Bus Tickets online or on the day of your visit at Guest Services in the Main Square (Day Ticket holders only, not available to Non-Safari or Twilight Ticket holders). Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are £9 per person (3+ years).

- Variable pricing is in effect during The Festival of Light, so certain dates are more expensive than others. Please note the offering will be the same on both standard and peak dates.
- Photography and filming may occur at this event for use on our website and/or promotional material. Please be aware by entering the site, you are giving consent to the use of your image or voice, waiving any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you or any claims for invasion of privacy or for any fees.
- Longleat will open in most weather conditions. In the unlikely event that Longleat must close due to extreme weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control, then you will be contacted via the email address you used to make your booking to advise you on next steps.
- Longleat can take no responsibility for tickets purchased from non-official partners.
- Longleat reserves the right to close to the public, withdraw any attraction, alter times, prices and events or services without notice.

- The Santa Train is very popular and gets booked up very quickly. We advise pre-booking as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.
- All Santa Trains were released for sale at launch - there are no further trains available.
- The Santa Train runs daily on open dates from 8th November until 24th December.
- Tesco vouchers may only be used towards entry tickets and not against other items such as the Santa Train.
- You must have a valid entry ticket or member ticket for the corresponding date in your basket to book the Santa Train.
- Booking options for the Santa Train are given only as part of your Ticket booking process, so the Santa Train cannot be booked on its own.
- Everyone riding the Santa Train requires a Santa Train ticket, including carers. With the exception of babies in arms (under 12 months), who are not receiving a gift from Father Christmas.
- Children (under 16) riding the Santa Train must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 or over).
- Each train can carry two wheelchairs. To reserve a place please contact Guest Services on 01985 844400 before you book online.
- Please arrive at Longleat Central Station (in Main Square) at least 15 minutes before your booked train is due to depart.
- Please allow up to 1.5 hours for your Santa Train experience from the time of your booking
- The Festival of Light lanterns are switched on from 4 – 7.30pm, so please bear these timings in mind if booking an evening Santa Train.
- Each Child's Santa Train ticket includes a gift from Santa. Each Adult Santa Train ticket includes a hot chocolate and a mince pie.
- If you are late for your pre-booked time and miss your train we cannot guarantee you will be offered an alternative seat on a different train.
- Please ensure you have permission to share children’s details with Longleat when booking the Santa Train. The information is only used to prepare relevant gifts and deliver the experiences, and is not shared with any third parties.
- A pushchair park is available by Longleat Railway but this is not under cover and Longleat cannot take responsibility for possessions left there.
- The Santa Train will operate in most weather conditions. In the unlikely event we have to cancel a train we will do our best to accommodate guests on a different train.
- Tickets are not refundable.
- Longleat reserves the right to close to the public, withdraw any attraction, alter times, prices and events or services without notice.
- Guided House Tours last approximately 1 hour and take place every 15 minutes from 11.00am to 3pm.
- Tours are available as an add-on experience to a Day Ticket or Member Ticket and will incur a small additional charge. All guests must also have a valid Longleat Day Ticket when visiting.
- Access to Longleat House for visitors with limited mobility and for wheelchair users is via the rear of Longleat House.
- On the advice of the fire service, a maximum of four wheelchairs can be accommodated in the House at a time. This means each Guided Tour may include only one wheelchair. To reserve this space, please contact Guest Services with your ticket booking reference.
