Grounds and Garden
Longleat is set in 900 acres of sweeping parkland, shaped in the 1700s by the legendary Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown, so called because he saw "great capabilities" in every landscape. His rolling lawns, shimmering lakes, and tree-lined views remain very much part of Longleat's magic.
To the north of the House, you’ll find most of the formal gardens, added around 1805 by the 2nd Marchioness, along with elegant additions by architect Sir Jeffry Wyatville. Take a wander through the romantic Love Labyrinth or lose yourself in the charm of the Secret Garden, designed by Russell Page in the mid-20th century.
Eating and Drinking
Refuel your adventure with a delicious range of food and drink options across the park. Whether you're after a quick bite, a sit-down family meal, or something sweet to keep you adventuring, there’s something to suit every taste and appetite.
Choose from cosy cafés, hearty restaurants, seasonal kiosks, and scenic picnic spots, all offering options for a variety of dietary needs.
