International Wolf Day

Today is International Wolf Day and we are home to a pack of beautiful European grey wolves. This species once roamed the UK freely but were hunted to extinction sometime in the 18th century. Fortunately, times have changed, and wild wolves in Europe are now protected as a keystone species. This means they play a pivotal role in the ecosystem that very few species would be able to replace.
