Birthday celebrations at Longleat
12 January 2026

We're looking for people celebrating their 60th birthday in April to join us to mark the diamond anniversary of the Safari Park opening.
Back in 1966, Longleat opened the first Drive-Through Safari outside of Africa with lions roaming the Wiltshire countryside. The lions were soon joined by other wild animals throughout the decades.
Today the Estate is home to more than 120 species, many critically endangered or vulnerable and is committed to ensuring ongoing conservation to protect these animals for the future.
Easter Sunday is the actual anniversary so over the nearest weekend, 11 and 12 April, we're throwing a garden party with music, games and entertainment included in the Day Ticket.
Scott Ashman, Head of Operations, said: “We’d like to widen our celebrations to include as many people as possible who are also marking their 60th birthday during April.
“We’re offering free entry to individuals reaching this milestone so they can celebrate with their loved ones at Longleat during our special weekend on 11 and 12 April.”
Full details and terms and conditions are on the website here– longleat.co.uk; those celebrating should use the code sixty26 to book their free ticket.
