Hold the Date – Icons of the Sky returns September 2026
20 November 2025
Icons of the Sky will take place 11-13 September next year.
The showcase event is an aviation extravaganza with a mix of hot air balloons and aircraft taking to the skies above the Estate.
Balloons will feature special shapes including Smiley the Scarecrow, standing at over 120ft tall alongside Longleat favourites Simbaloo the Lion and Adelaide the Koala heading up our animal balloon line up as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations for the Safari Park. Aircraft will grace the skies in the form of a Spitfire, P51 Mustang, high energy aerobatics and gyrocopter to name just a few. Each day will be rounded off with graceful pyrotechnic aircraft displays, our beautiful nightglow and firework finale.
Scott Ashman, Head of Operations, said: “This will be our third year for Icons of the Sky, and it is always a spectacular sight to see the balloons either tethered or flying over Longleat House into the skies around Wiltshire or the planes performing in the sky. We are delighted to include this in our standard day ticket and look forward to welcoming guests to join in the anniversary celebrations.”
Tickets will go on sale shortly.
