Roaring Into Autumn
19 September 2025

Lions at Longleat have been testing their roar score in preparation for October Half Term.
As Top Trumps comes to the Park for Great British Autumn, from Saturday 25 October to Sunday 2 November, the selfie stand has seen some unusual participants, Longleat’s pride of lions. The curious lionesses checked out their roar scores, just as guests at the October Half Term event can although they won’t be doing it in the Drive-Through Safari.
A Top Trumps Trail will take place across the park, with six giant cards to be found, all depicting one of Longleat’s animal residents. Learn fascinating facts from their weight and Endangered status to their cuteness and Top Trumps rating. Find each card to win a limited-edition card, which can be added to your Longleat Top Trumps Pack*.
The event will celebrate all things autumn and education, with a 360° stage for educational talks, bird of prey displays and more.
Scott Ashman, Head of Operations at Longleat, said “Great British Autumn is always a favourite with guests, and to partner with Top Trumps this year is a fantastic addition.
“There will be lots to do for all ages, including ride on tractors, wooden skittles, the trail and educational talks from our expert keepers. It is also a picturesque time at the park, with autumnal colours decorating the grounds.”
There will also be Top Trump Game Stations, as well as design your own card templates and plenty of other crafts, including willow weaving.
