What's on in 2026

It’s 60 years since the first Drive-Through safari outside of Africa opened and the anniversary will be marked at events throughout 2026.

Today Longleat is home to more than 120 species, many of which are critically endangered or endangered, and conservation remains at the heart of our celebrated attraction, which has been in the same family since the 16^th century.

Scott Ashman, Head of Operations at Longleat, said: “It was a visionary approach by the 6^th Marquess to create a safari in the Wiltshire countryside which has been enjoyed by generations, and it remains an incredible experience today.

“From being the only place in Europe to be able to discover southern Koalas to seeing – and hearing - the world-famous lions roar, it creates memories that people treasure.

“We are now home to three different safari experiences – walking, boat and drive-through and combine conservation with epic events. As part of the celebrations, we will have a display of information showing significant dates from the last six decades from the spring. 

“Our programme of special events are included in the day ticket, and each will mark the 60^th anniversary in different ways. This includes our spectacular showcase events Icons of the Sky and The Festival of Light through to the new Motor Show Weekender and our school holiday activities. There really is something here for everyone.”

Guests can save money by buying tickets in advance and all events in 2026 are available to book here with tickets for The Festival of Light available at 2025 prices until 11 January.

Roaring into Summer, our Motor Show Weekender will celebrate not only years of motoring history, but also 60 years of our iconic Safari Park opening its doors for the first time. Enjoy a stunning showcase of motoring excellence, bringing together early pre-war icons to high performance supercars.

Our showcase event is an aviation extravaganza with a mix of hot air balloons and aircraft taking to the skies.

This October half term, help us celebrate all things seasonal with our much-loved family event, The Great British Autumn.

Our festive extravaganza returns with lantern trail, The Enchanted Christmas Tree Show, Santa Train and more. Plus, new for this year is a Sensory Day on 8 November for those who prefer a more low-key experience.
