We are keen to make Longleat as inclusive and as accessible as possible and we supporting access to Longleat via Wiltshire Connect.
The popular demand responsive bus service is expanding to serve the south-west Wiltshire area – including Longleat - from this month.
Unlike a traditional bus service, Wiltshire Connect does not have a fixed route or timetable and operates to pre-booked ride requests which can be made on the Wiltshire Connect app or by calling its booking line on 01225 712900. Rides can be booked up to seven days ahead and on the day with 30 minutes notice subject to availability.
All arriving at Longleat must have a valid Day Ticket.
Please see map below. The service will operate in two zones in the Warminster/Frome area and Warminster/Mere area with rides available to Gillingham and Shaftesbury in North Dorset.
Find out moreAll Wiltshire Connect vehicles are wheelchair accessible. Four vehicles will operate each day, two in each zone. The vehicles will be brand new Mercedes minibuses, and we will be piloting an electric vehicle on one service.
We will have a large number of pick up and drop off points available including normal bus stops and virtual stops which are normally local landmarks. In addition, passengers who have a disability or mobility impairment can request a home pick up/drop off.
Longleat – Caravan Club Entrance - will be a designated pick-up and drop-off point and will be available for staff and visitors to book
The service can be used to go anywhere within each zone up to a maximum journey distance of 15 miles. Local journeys within Warminster itself cannot be made as a Town bus service is available.
