Boat Safari

Pots of fish are available to purchase during the Boat Safari to throw for the sea lions. We accept card or contactless payment only.

Feeding may be restricted or paused for temporary periods during very busy days or for welfare reasons, however this is rare.

Please wash your hands thoroughly after sea lion feeding at the sinks available upon exit from the harbour.

Please listen to all the safety directions given by the keepers during the feeding experience.

The Boat Safari is accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. The queue line is wide and simple to navigate. Access to and from the boat is via a ramp (staff are available should you need any assistance) and designated seating can accommodate up to four wheelchair users per boat.

The Boat Safari is not accessible to pushchairs. They may left on the boarding platform at your own risk, and for the duration of the boat trip only. Longleat accepts no liability for loss or damage to pushchairs left unattended.

The Boat Safari experience lasts around 20 minutes, in addition to queuing time.

Dogs (including service dogs) are not allowed on the Boat Safari.

The boats comprise of rows of bench seating, and are largely undercover. However the sides are fully open to the elements and there is no heating or cooling system, so please plan appropriately for the weather.

There are no toilet facilities on the boat or in the queue line. The closest toilets are at the entrance of the queue, opposite the giant gorilla statue.
