Africa is home to some of the most iconic and endangered wildlife on the planet, including elephants, lions, pangolins, and painted dogs. However, it’s also a continent where people and wildlife coexist, often in challenging conditions. Supporting conservation here means more than protecting species—it’s about working with local communities to find practical, long-term solutions that benefit both people and nature. Whether it’s funding anti-poaching patrols, supporting wildlife corridors, or helping communities lead conservation efforts, our work in Africa is focused on creating a future where both wildlife and people can thrive.

In Africa, we work with on-the-ground conservationists through our long-term partners Tusk. Tusk is a brilliant example of African-led conservation done right. They support local organisations on the ground, helping to protect iconic species such as elephants, rhinos, and painted dogs, while also working with communities to integrate conservation into everyday life. Their projects have real, measurable impact—from zero rhino poaching in key reserves to replanting forests and resolving human-wildlife conflict. It’s practical, effective work that makes a genuine difference for both people and wildlife.
