Longleat Summer Carnival arrives from 19 July – 31 August, bringing classic funfair rides from the helter skelter and swing boats, to a nostalgic carousel set*.

Learn and perform carnival skills, including tightrope walking, stilt-walking, plate spinning, and diabolo tricks – fun for all ages and skill levels.

Set sail on the Jungle Cruise and meet fascinating wildlife, including our new pod of hippos, playful sea lions, troop of gorillas, and curious colobus monkeys.

Embark on an epic Drive-Through Safari, for up-close encounters with giraffes, our family of rare Amur tigers, rhinos, and more.

Explore on foot to meet vibrant lorikeets, sleepy koalas, snapping crocodiles and flying bats.

Let your little adventurers explore a world of wonder with the Adventure Castle, Little Explorers Garden, the Rockin’ Rhino ride, and a refreshing splashpad experience.

Test your wits and sense of direction in the UK’s longest hedge maze, or step back in time with a ground floor tour of the stunning Longleat House, rich with history and grandeur.

Step right up to the Longleat Summer Carnival to enjoy those long summer days! From 19 July – 31 August, swing by for adventure, wildlife and thrills at the funfair! Reach new heights with our helter skelter and swing boats and enjoy the whimsy of the classic carousel, all included in the cost of your day ticket.
Master new skills!
Once you’ve had your fill of thrill, step inside the Longhouse for our special carnival workshops. From mastering your balance on the tightrope to strapping on your stilts and towering above the crowd, every step is a chance to sharpen your skills. There’s even diablos and plate spinning for little hands to practise new skills! Show off your skills or make it your mission to master something new.
Hippos!
Meet our pod of majestic hippos as they call Longleat home and you can sail in the very same waters on our Jungle Cruise. Embark on a Drive-Through Safari to meet and feed gentle giraffes, spot our rare tiger family and watch our fantastic rhinos among lots more. The adventure continues on foot, with lots of other species to see – from rainbow lorikeets, inquisitive otters and our energetic bats. Don’t forget to visit Family Farmyard for an eclectic mix of animals that you may or may not see on your everyday farm visit!

If fairground rides and animals aren’t enough to tire out little cubs, enjoy a day full of play with our Adventure Castle and Little Explorers' Garden. Take a ride on Rockin’ Rhino and explore the UK’s longest Hedge Maze, just don’t get lost! Fill your days with summer fun.

Important Information

Crocs, sandals, or loose shoes should not be worn on the helter-skelter. We recommend wearing clothing that covers the arms while using this ride.

Children under 1.2m must be accompanied by an adult when riding the carousel.

The classic car ride is reserved for individuals under 1.5m tall.

Rides are accessible to someone with mobility difficulties, but able to walk up two steps (please note, the helter skelter is not suitable if you have limited mobility).

Children under 1m are not permitted to ride the helter-skelter.

Adults are not able to accompany children on the helter-skelter.
