Our cheetah clan

The Longleat cheetah family was completed in 2024 when three males arrived to join our females, Xena and Rachel. We're hopeful this group will contribute to the important cheetah breeding programme, with the team excited about the possibility of cubs in the future.

These spotted cats are masters at hiding in plain sight, so keep your eyes peeled as you search for them on the Drive-Through Safari.

As sprinting at such mega speeds uses a lot of energy, a cheetah chase is usually limited to 200 to 300m, and lasts less than a minute.
