African Village

This is the first stop within the Drive-Through Safari, home to Rothchild's giraffes, Grant’s zebras, ring-tailed lemurs and more, where you can park your car and get even closer to the animals. Start your journey on foot with stunning views across the East African Reserve, and visit our only walk-up carnivore enclosure to meet our pack of African painted dogs.

If you’re feeling peckish, visit the Watering Hole Café, offering indoor and outdoor seating with stunning views over the safari. Plus, take home a unique souvenir from our African Traders gift shop. The wonderful range of gifts on offer here aren’t all available elsewhere at Longleat, so make sure you stop by and check them out.

Be sure to also use the facilities before you set off – toilets and baby changing areas are available in African Village past the gift shop and are your last chance before the end of the Drive-Through!
