Theme: The Festival of Light presents British Icons with Wallace & Gromit and friends!

Explore iconic sights as you embark on a grand day out. Meet fan-favourite characters from Shaun the Sheep, Wallace & Gromit and more while you journey to some of the UK’s most famous landmarks, marvel at native wildlife and sights - all spectacularly reimagined in lantern form.

A planning pack connected to the lanterns with ideas for before, during and after your visit will be available for you to download prior to your visit.

Additional Activities for Home Educators:

As Wallace & Gromit feature in the Festival of Light this year we thought we would offer a workshop session where participants can create model characters, based on Longleat animals, that can be used to produce stop animation stories.

• ‘Animals for Animation’ sessions will run at 10.30am and again at 1.00pm on both days.   They are planned to last approximately 45 minutes.  The session will involve crafting small model animals and planning short stories. We will demonstrate a basic stop animation app.  If time allows participants may get the chance to create a short animation sequence in the session.  Numbers are limited and must be pre-booked. This workshop is not suitable for children under three years old due to the modelling material being used.

On these dates individual home educating families will be entitled to the education rates rather than having to be part of a group of families.
