Take a stroll down the adjacent Pleasure Walk arboretum and take in the unique sculptures dotted along its undulating pathway, as well as its beautiful flora blooming throughout the year.

Gardener’s Cottage has its origins in a building that once formed part of the late 18th-century timber yard at Longleat. The building was converted from a workshop or store to a cottage in the 1860s or 1870s. Between then and the Second World War, it was used as a Longleat servant’s cottage, over the years housing a night watchman, a hall porter, and two odd-job men. After Longleat opened to the public in 1949, the cottage housed Longleat employees including a head gardener and a librarian.
